Term Life Insurance

Term Life Insurance is designed to provide you an insurance protection for a specified (temporary) period of time and pays a benefit only if the insured dies during that period. There are no cash values in term policies. However, for additional premiums, some term plans offer return of premium options. Also some term plans offer options to convert or exchange the term policy for a whole life or permanent plan without evidence of insurability, or offer a re-entry option. With re-entry term policies, the policy owner is guaranteed, at the end of the term, to be able to renew coverage without evidence of insurability, at a rate specified in the policy. However, if you provide evidence of insurability and, if found acceptable by the insurance company, then you qualify for renewed protection at a lower rate than what the policy states.
